Is your computer struggling to keep up with you? Is it too slow? Or perhaps it doesn’t have enough memory? There are a number of improvements you can make to your PC to give you that extra increase in performance, our technicians provide computer upgrades for all types of desktops and laptops.

PCs have many components working together with your operating system. Not all of the components can be upgraded and, in some instances, it is more cost-effective for you to purchase a new PC. Some of the more common upgrades to computers are:

Does your computer take too long to do anything?
Other than software problems like viruses or spyware, there are a number of hardware issues that can cause your PC to run slowly – the most common of these is insufficient memory (RAM). Your computer probably had enough memory to run the programs and applications provided with your PC when you purchased it, but as new software is released more memory is required to run them efficiently. A simple memory upgrade can vastly improve the performance of your PC and should be considered for any PC with less than 1GB RAM (memory). Give us a call with your make and model and we can instantly tell you exactly what type of memory your PC requires as well as give you a quote over the phone.

Are games, DVDs or graphics slow and jumpy?
All of the images and graphics you see on your PC screen are managed by your PC’s graphics card. The quality of your graphics card determines the quality of images on your PC. For most business users this is not an issue but for home users, who are more likely to be playing games or watching DVDs, the quality of the graphics card will make a very noticeable difference to computer performance. Of course if you are a business user who likes to play games this will also apply to you…but may mean you spend less time working! Talk to us and we’ll give you the advice you need on upgrading your PC’s graphics capabilities.

Can I upgrade my operating system?
When you first purchased your PC it would have been provided to you with the current operating system (at the time). As new operating systems are released they expect to take advantage of the current PC technology available, this means that some older PCs are simply not fast enough to use with the new operating systems. Our technicians would be happy to give you advice on upgrades during on-site visits.

When all else fails, custom building a machine is the way to go. We provide the best and required parts to get the job done to your satisfaction. Most of our custom build parts come with a three year manufacturer warranty.
